Banana Split Fluff Salad

Posted on February 28, 2025
Banana Split Fluff Salad is a sweet, creamy dessert salad that combines the flavors of a classic banana split with the light, fluffy texture of a fruit salad. It’s easy to make and always a hit at potlucks or parties. Here’s a simple recipe for it:

Ingredients:

  • 1 (8 oz) container of whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
  • 1 (5.1 oz) box of instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 (15 oz) can of crushed pineapple, drained (reserve some juice)
  • 2 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (or mini chocolate chips)
  • Maraschino cherries for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the base: In a large mixing bowl, combine the instant vanilla pudding mix and the whipped topping. Add a few tablespoons of the reserved pineapple juice to thin it out to your desired consistency.

  2. Add the fruit: Gently fold in the drained crushed pineapple and sliced bananas.

  3. Add the extras: Mix in the mini marshmallows, chopped nuts (if using), and chocolate chips. Stir until everything is evenly combined.

  4. Chill: Cover and refrigerate the salad for at least 1 hour to let the flavors meld together.

  5. Serve: When ready to serve, garnish with maraschino cherries or additional chocolate chips if desired.

Notes:

  • For a lighter version, you can use fat-free whipped topping or Greek yogurt.
  • You can also swap the vanilla pudding mix for banana-flavored pudding for an extra banana kick!

This fluffy, fruity dessert is a fun and delicious way to enjoy a banana split in a bowl! Would you like to customize it in any way?
