Super Easy Chocolate and Milk Jelly Pudding

Posted on February 26, 2025
Super Easy Chocolate and Milk Jelly Pudding is a delightful, creamy dessert that’s quick to prepare and absolutely satisfying! It’s a great treat when you’re craving something chocolatey but don’t want to spend too much time in the kitchen. Here’s a simple recipe to get it just right:

Super Easy Chocolate and Milk Jelly Pudding Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 packet (85g/3 oz) chocolate-flavored jelly (or chocolate pudding mix, if preferred)
  • 2 cups (500 ml) full cream milk (or any milk of your choice)
  • 1/4 cup (50g) sugar (adjust based on how sweet you want it)
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder (optional, for extra chocolate richness)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional, for added flavor)
  • Whipped cream or chocolate shavings for topping (optional)

Directions:

1. Prepare the Jelly Base:

  1. In a saucepan, combine the chocolate-flavored jelly (or pudding mix), cocoa powder (if using), sugar, and milk. Whisk them together until everything is fully dissolved and the mixture is smooth.
  2. Place the saucepan on medium heat and bring it to a simmer while stirring continuously. You want to make sure it doesn’t boil, but it should thicken and become creamy. This usually takes about 5-7 minutes, depending on your stovetop.

2. Set the Pudding:

  1. Once the mixture has thickened to your desired consistency (it should be like a creamy custard), remove it from the heat.
  2. Stir in the vanilla extract for added depth of flavor, if you’re using it.
  3. Pour the pudding mixture into individual serving cups or bowls, smoothing the top with a spoon.
  4. Allow it to cool at room temperature for about 15 minutes before transferring it to the fridge to chill. Let it set for at least 2-3 hours, or overnight for best results.

3. Serve:

  1. Once the pudding has set and become firm, you can garnish it with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or even a few fresh berries for extra color and flavor.
  2. Serve chilled and enjoy the creamy, chocolatey goodness!

Tips:

  • Consistency: If you like your pudding a little thicker, feel free to add more cocoa powder or sugar. If it’s too thick, you can always adjust by adding a little more milk before heating.
  • Add-ins: You can stir in some crushed cookies, marshmallows, or even a swirl of caramel sauce for added texture and flavor.
  • Quick Fix: If you’re using ready-made chocolate pudding mix, just follow the instructions on the packet and reduce the sugar to adjust for sweetness.
  • For Extra Decadence: If you want a more indulgent version, you can replace part of the milk with heavy cream for an ultra-creamy texture.

This Chocolate and Milk Jelly Pudding is the kind of dessert that’s simple to make, yet rich and decadent. It’s perfect for those days when you want something quick but delicious. Would you top it with whipped cream, or are you a chocolate-shavings kind of person?
