🧄 Ingredients:
For the Spaghetti:

12 oz spaghetti (or your preferred pasta)

For the Meat Sauce:

1 lb ground beef (or Italian sausage)

1 small onion, diced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 jar (24 oz) marinara or spaghetti sauce

1 tsp Italian seasoning

½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
For the Cheese Mixture:

1 cup ricotta or cottage cheese

1 egg

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tsp garlic powder

Salt and pepper, to taste
For Topping:

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Extra Parmesan for topping (optional)
🔪 Instructions:

Preheat Oven:

Preheat to 375°F (190°C).

Cook Pasta:

Boil spaghetti in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Make the Meat Sauce:

In a large skillet, cook ground beef with onion until browned.

Add garlic and cook 1–2 more minutes.

Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes.

Simmer for 10 minutes.

Mix Cheese Filling:

In a bowl, combine ricotta (or cottage cheese), egg, Parmesan, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

Assemble the Dish:

Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Layer half of the cooked spaghetti.

Spread all of the cheese mixture over pasta.

Add half the meat sauce on top.

Repeat layers: pasta, then remaining sauce.

Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan over the top.

Uncover and bake an additional 10–15 minutes, until bubbly and golden.
